1872 Carl Lehnkering starts up a transport company in the Ruhr region.
2011 We are a successful, medium-sized logistics company based in Germany.

Between these dates is a success story full of clever entrepreneurship, sustained growth and courage to take calculated risks.

2002 The Lehnkering Group becomes one of the largest Specialty Logistics providers in Europe.
2002 The industrial plant and seaport logistics division goes independent as LPL Lehnkering Projects + Logistics GmbH.
2003 Start of operations with 62 employees at six German locations.
2004 We expand important business activities and establish a country organization in Italy. We receive the first major order from a DAX - listed enterprise.
2005 We establish our own airfreight division.
2006 Takeover of ro-ro activities from PWL KG in Bremerhaven; 100th employee is hired.
2007 LPL Lehnkering Projects + Logistics GmbH becomes LPL Projects + Logistics GmbH.
2008 We expand our presence by country organizations in Thailand and Saudi Arabia.
2009 Capital increases to 1 million euros; establishment of country organizations in Malaysia and Russia.
2010 We reinforce our presence in the Middle East with a country organization in Abu Dhabi.
